Tryouts: Varsity- Monday August 15th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm in Smith Robinson Gym If needed, Tuesday August 16th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm in smith Robinson Gym NOTE: If you cannot make the first day of tryouts, please contact Coach John and let him know. Junior Varsity- Wednesday August 17th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in Smith Robinson Gym If needed, Thursday August 18th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in Smith Robinson Gym NOTE: If you cannot make the first day of tryouts, please contact Coach John and let him know. Afterschool Practices: Varsity- Everyday after school from 3:30pm to 6:00pm Junior Varsity- Everyday after school from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Game Schedule Summer Practice Information Summer practices are open to all players who are interested in playing for Healdsburg High School, including all returning players, incoming freshmen, those that might be interested and just want to check it out and those new players in high school who want to try out this year. Come with your friends or come alone. Even if you know no one at the high school, don't be scared and not come. Many new students come to summer practices knowing no one, but after one to a few practices, you will be surrounded by new friends and teammates. The best way to make new friends is through sports. While players are encouraged to attend as many practices in the summer as possible, these practices are optional. Those that attend summer practices will get to know the other players and coaches, work on improving physical conditioning and individual volleyball skills, and start to learn the team's offensive and defensive playbook. Important note: All players will need to try out to make either the varsity or junior varsity team. Attending summer practices will help players increase they skill levels, but simply showing up to the summer practices will not mean that the player automatically makes one of the two teams. Tryouts for the varsity volleyball team will be Monday August 15th, 2011, with the tryout times to be announced towards the end of July. Tryouts date/time for junior varsity will be announced towards the end of July. |
